Product description
The ring-shaped ferrite magnet is made of Fe2O3. This type of magnet is the weakest of all the magnets in our range. In many cases, however, even this strength is sufficient.
As the magnet will not rust in a humid environment, it is suitable for outdoor use. It is less brittle than stronger neodymium magnets (it does not break in collisions). It does not lose its magnetic strength even at very high temperatures.
Warning: Never bring ferrite magnets closer than 5 cm to neodymium magnets. Neodymium magnets create a very strong magnetic field that can demagnetise a ferrite magnet. The ferrite magnet would thus lose much of its power.
If you need the strongest magnet possible, we recommend using neodymium magnets instead of this magnet, which are up to 10 times stronger.
We also offer other ferrites.
