Pot magnets with internal thread through entire magnet
Magnets in this category consist of a strong neodymium magnet and a steel cylinder with an internal thread. The thread goes all the way through en...
tire magnet.
The steel pot protects the magnet from impact and also directs the magnetic field into a small area just in front of the magnet, which gives the magnets in the pot greater holding power compared to neodymium magnets without a pot of similar dimensions.
The magnetic strength on the steel side is very weak, as the steel shields the magnetic field in this direction and directs it back to the active side of the magnet.
In addition to this category, we offer two other types of magnets with thread. You can find them on the page pot magnets.

Pot magnets with internal thread through entire magnet
The inner magnet is made of the world’s strongest magnetic material NdFeB. It is embedded in a steel structure that protects the magnet from damage while increasing its overall magnetic strength.

Unlike most of our threaded magnets, this magnet attracts from both sides. There are two threads in the magnet for the M10 screw: one runs through entire magnet in the direction of the axis and the other runs from the side to the centre of the magnet. The inner magnet is made of the world’s…

Where are the poles on magnets?
The same magnetic poles repel each other, so if you place two pot magnets face down together, they will repel each other. If you need the magnets to attract each other, use a combination of a pot magnet + a steel disc instead of two magnets. Since steel discs are not magnets but contain iron, they are always attracted to magnets and never repelled.
The strength stated for magnets is required to tear the magnet away from a steel object at least as thick as the magnet. You must pull directly away from the magnet. It is much easier to slide a magnet from a metal surface than to pull it off directly. The strength required to move the magnet to the side along the metal surface is approximately 3 times smaller than the strength required to tear it away from the surface, which we mention for magnets.
If the attracted object is not made of pure steel or does not touch the magnet with its entire surface, the strength can be significantly lower. We recommend planning for a large margin and ordering stronger magnets.
