Ferrite magnets

Ferrite magnets are significantly weaker than neodymium magnets. However, they have several advantages:

• They don’t rust. They are suitable for use outdoors and in humid environments.
• They are less brittle. They withstand impacts better.
• They can withstand temperatures up to 250 °C

If you need a strong magnet, neodymium magnets are preferable as they are up to 10 times stronger than ferrite magnets. In humid environments, rubber-coated neodymium magnets can be used, and at high temperatures, neodymium magnets with high temperature resistance can be used.

Ferrite magnets are suitable if you don’t need a lot of power and are looking for the cheapest possible solution.
