Product description
Magnetic mount with M4 screw hole in the centre. The mount consists of a ferrite magnet and a steel cylinder, which concentrates the entire force of the magnet into a small space on one side of the magnet. Thanks to this, the mount can hold even very heavy objects and is suitable as both a vertical and horizontal magnetic holder. Since all the magnetism is concentrated on the surface of the active side of the mount, the force drops off sharply with distance and the mounts have almost no effect on more distant objects. The back of the mount is not magnetic.
Under ideal conditions, a 20×6 mm ferrite mount can hold 2.3 kg of steel, if it is at least 6 mm thick, it touches the mount with its entire surface and hangs from it (i.e. the active side of the mount points vertically downwards and attracts the steel object upwards). It takes much less force to slide a metal object off a mount than to pull it off. If the mount fixed to the wall (and not to the ceiling) and objects are placed on it from the side, it can hold 1.2 kg.
All of our magnets in the pot have the north pole on the active side (so they repel each other).
