Product description
Polyester rope specially developed for magnet fishing with a thickness of 5 mm and a capacity of 340 kg. Our magnet fishing rope is inspired by the paracord rope, which we have improved.
Extra strong rope
Our rope contains 9 internal fibres (not 7 like paracord), which are also slightly thicker. It is therefore stronger and more resistant to breakage. If you pull the magnet with your hands only, you don’t have to worry about it breaking. It is not humanly possible to tear it apart.
Lightweight and water resistant
The rope is very light, so it is easy to throw to a distance. Unlike most ropes, it absorbs much less water. Thanks to this, you won’t get wet when magnet fishing and the rope will remain light even after hours of searching (rope soaked in water is heavier).
Inflexible
Many other ropes (e.g. climbing rope) are elastic and stretch. Many treasure hunters don’t like it. Our inflexible rope has three advantages:
- You can more easily control the movement of the magnet underwater.
- You feel when the magnet latches onto something.
- You can yank hard when you need to free a magnet snagged on an obstacle or to pull it away from something very heavy.
Made of polyester
Our rope is made of polyester, not nylon like paracord. Unlike nylon, polyester does not lose strength when wet. Polyester also dries faster and is more resistant to abrasion and UV damage.
Thickness keeps it from cutting into the hand so much
Our polyester rope is 5 mm thick. That’s a millimetre more than paracord. Thanks of this, there is considerably less cutting into the hand when pulling.
Ideal length
A magnet on a short rope can’t be thrown far enough, so you won’t be able to reach some finds. Most people can throw a magnet further than 15 metres. A 30-metre rope is therefore the ideal length.
How to tie a knot correctly
In order to maintain the strength of the rope, we recommend using one of the knots described in our article How to tie a knot on a magnet?.
In the magnet fishing category, we also offer a thicker 7 mm rope with a strength of up to 540 kg. Such a rope is preferable when the magnet gets stuck on an obstacle and you want to pull it with a car.
The rope is not suitable for climbing.
