The magnetic hook is easy to place and remove from the metal surface without the need for gluing or drilling. You can place the hook on iron, nickel, cobalt or alloys of these metals (for example, steel). The magnet will not stick on other materials such as aluminium, brass, copper or non-metals.

As the hook can swivel, it can be rotated 360° on its axis. It moves freely forward and backward through a range of 180°.

The breakaway force indicated is not the hook load capacity. It is the force required to pull the magnet away from the thick steel without a coating of paint.

The actual load capacity of the hook depends on the base on which it is placed. Also, it’s much easier to shove a magnet sideways than to pull it off directly. A hook on the ceiling can carry much more weight than a hook on the wall.

The hook is not suitable for long term outdoor use, it may start to rust over time.

To increase the strength of this magnet with anti-shear hook or to protect more sensitive materials against scratches, you can slide a rubber protective cap from our range onto the magnet.
