Product description

This viewer film is a practical and fascinating tool that allows you to see the otherwise invisible magnetic field. Simply place it near a magnet or a device with a magnet and coloured patterns will immediately appear, clearly showing the shape and intensity of the magnetic field.

Key technology

MAGIC FILM is an innovative functional film concept by the South Korean company Nanobrick, made from MTX – a photonic crystal material with magnetically changeable colours. This unique technology displays different colours or patterns according to the strength and shape of the external magnetic field. MTX technology creates different reflective colours using a fine arrangement of specially designed nanoparticles that respond to an external magnetic field signal.

Orodian viewer film

Unlike conventional magnetic viewer films made of special ferrous particles that can only check the presence of a magnetic field, MAGIC FILM has three main advantages:

  1. The pattern is clearly displayed according to the shape of the magnetic field.
  2. Depending on the strength of the magnetic flux, different colour spectra are created.
  3. The uniformly arranged nanoparticles respond very sensitively to external magnetic field, and the resulting colour appears immediately.

Orodian viewer film

MAGIC FILM, a colour-changing magnetic viewer film, can detect the strength and pattern of the magnetic field of common magnets around us. In addition, it can also be used as a scientific instrument for observing the magnetic field and for various experimental purposes.

Magnetic field strength by colour

magnetic strength of a magnet shown in colours

Gradient Colour Magnet strength (Gauss)
Colour band from orange to dark blue Orange 50 G
Yellow 70 G
Light green 100 G
Green 150 G
Blue 200 G
Dark blue 300 G

The image above shows how this special film immediately reproduces the magnetic field of a magnet when applied. The invisible field of the magnet appears in the form of coloured stripes resembling a rainbow.

The individual colours represent different magnetic field intensities – from orange (weaker field, 50 G) to dark blue (strongest field, 300 G).

This method of visualisation makes it easy and clear to see the distribution of magnetic strength – where the field is weaker, where it is stronger, and how it changes in space.

Use the magnetic sensor film for:

  • magnetic field visualization – quick and easy display of the distribution and intensity of the magnetic field
  • visualising magnetic poles – revealing areas where the field is strongest
  • magnet testing – a simple check to see if the magnet is working and its magnetic strength
  • device diagnostics – indicative verification of magnetic components in motors, speakers or sensors
  • education and demonstration – suitable for teaching physics, natural sciences and discovering the principles of magnetism
  • hobby and research – for science enthusiasts, DIYers and technicians

The sensor film is lightweight, flexible and reusable. Just place it near a magnet or device and you will immediately see coloured patterns that show the distribution of the magnetic field. Whether you are a technician, teacher, DIYer, or just curious, this film will provide a simple and illustrative look into the world of magnetism.
